Questions before you join.
The short version: members get transparent receipt pricing, with the product cost separated from logistics, card processing, and shipping.
What does at cost mean?
Members pay the product cost plus the logistics fee, credit card fee, and cold-chain shipping shown on the receipt. At Cost Meats does not add a retail markup to the meat.
Why is there a membership?
The membership covers the operating model so product prices can stay receipt-based. It replaces the hidden margin a normal butcher shop builds into every cut.
What fees are on each product?
Each product receipt shows product cost, logistics, and credit card processing. Shipping is handled at the order level in cart and checkout.
Can non-members buy?
The catalog is built for members. If guest access or day passes are enabled later, the store will show that option directly in checkout.
How fresh is pricing?
Product receipts and comparison data are refreshed from Shopify and approved source data. When a value is unavailable, the storefront should show that honestly instead of filling it with fake data.
Start quarterly. Build the freezer box.
Quarterly is built for people who plan to order more than once. Build a box, catch restocks, and let the membership compound across the quarter.
